Hypnotherapy Derby now recommended by the Dept of Health

Great news,

As from 1st December 2010, Hypnotherapy Derby will be on the CNHC register. This is the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council, which is government funded, and is the only Regulatory body recognised for the Hypnotherapy profession by the Department of Health, who have recently asked GPs and Chief Nursing Officers to recommend to patients who are seeking complementary therapies to consult with practitioners who are registered with the CNHC.

As Ripley Hypnotherapy have already completed all the necessary pre-requisites for registration, we will be fast tracked onto the register. This means that you will only see a therapist who is properly trained, insured, and adheres to a strict code of ethics and management. This also means you can be assured that we are also a member of the leading professional associations (the NCH).
This is all voluntary, and the main aim is to provide the public with the same kind of service you can expect from a GP or a dentist. That is also to say that should you have any complaint, you will now have a recognised body with which to complain to. Any decent therapist should always consider the publics interests, above their own.

This is a great step forward for our profession, as it will help weed out all the other so called 'therapists' who are not adequately trained, who refuse to join professional organisations, who offer a poor standard of care, and who consistently and put their own interests before that of the public.

If you have any quesitons, please do not hesitate to contact me through the website mentioned above.

Best wishes
